Goodtime.today is a professionally built Panchang-based timing service that helps users check calendar details, daily Panchang timings, festivals, and good times based on location and, when available, birth star.

Panchang timings change by location. Sunrise, sunset, tithi ending time, nakshatra ending time, durmuhurtham, and varjyam differ from one location to another. For example, sunrise can be different in Amaravathi, Hyderabad, and Bangalore on the same date. Goodtime.today uses the selected or detected location to calculate more relevant timings.

Goodtime is traditional timing guidance based on Panchang and Jyotisha principles. Our tradition has used tithi, nakshatra, sunrise, sunset, durmuhurtham, varjyam, and other Panchang elements for choosing better times.

Green means generally good time.
Yellow means okay for normal work.
Red means better to avoid starting important new work if possible.

Green time is generally suitable for starting important routine work such as applying for a job, applying for college, applying for visa/green card, buying a house or car, starting school or business work, planning travel, or beginning family functions such as baby shower or annaprashana.

Yellow time is okay for normal work. It can be used for routine activities where you are not starting something very important.

Red time is better avoided for starting important new work. Routine work that is already in progress can continue.

General good time is based on Panchang timings for a selected location. Personalized good time also considers the user’s birth star or profile.

Birth star helps Goodtime.today personalize Good / Okay / Bad timing guidance.

You can provide date of birth details where supported, or use the general location-based calendar and good-time information.

Panchang timings can vary because of location, calculation method, tradition, and calendar assumptions. Goodtime.today focuses on location-aware calculations and practical timing guidance.

Durmuhurtham is a traditional inauspicious interval in the civil day. On Goodtime.today it is always treated as adverse (red) when it overlaps a window, for every language tradition.

Varjyam (also written Vargyam) is another traditional interval to avoid for starting important work. Like Durmuhurtham, it is always treated as adverse when it applies.

Rahu Kalam and Yama Gandam are weekday-based timing periods that many users prefer to avoid for new beginnings. On Goodtime.today they affect the Good / Okay / Bad timeline when they are active for the language tradition or profile settings.

Choghadiya divides the day and night into named slots with traditional qualities (for example Amrit/Shubh/Labh as favorable, Char as mixed, Rog/Kaal/Udveg as adverse). Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati Panchang details include Choghadiya. On English Good Time pages, choose Hindi, Marathi, or Gujarati tradition to see and use it.

Gowri Panchangam is a Tamil timing table of named day and night slots, similar in role to Choghadiya. It appears on Tamil Panchang details and when English Good Time pages use the Tamil tradition.

English Good Time Today / Tomorrow pages keep English labels, but the field set and calculation follow a regional tradition. With no saved preference, Delhi and most northern locations default to Hindi Panchang; other states map to the matching regional tradition. Use the Panchang tradition menu to override; the choice is remembered in a cookie for those English pages.
